Data we collect
If you become our customer by purchasing a software licence from our website, we will collect some personal data from you. These data will include your name, email address and other contact details as well as your IP address. We receive these data from the payment processor handling your payment. We never see your credit or debit card details; these are seen only by the payment processor.
We will store these data for as long as we need them, so that we can:
- Identify you as a customer if you later contact us requesting technical support.
- Keep proper accounting records.
If you are not our customer, we may still obtain your email address if you contact us with an enquiry. We will retain a record of our communications, including the email address and any other data you have provided.
How we use your data
We will use your email address only for the following purposes:
- After you purchase a software licence from us we will send you an automated email giving you an activation code for the software.
- To ask you for clarification if there are any problems with the purchase process.
- To send you any other information that we believe will be important to you.
- If you contact us by email, e.g., to request technical support, we will reply to your email.
We may also use other contact details (phone number) to contact you if we believe an email message has not been successfully received.
We will not contact you for any other reason. We will not send you general marketing information.
We will not pass any of your personal information to other parties except where we have a legal obligation to do so, e.g., to HMRC (the UK tax authority).
If you want to know what personal data we hold about you, please contact us and request this information.
We can delete your personal data on request, provided that we no longer need the data to fulfil our legal obligations.
If we delete your data we may no longer be able to provide you with technical support.
For both the above items (data request, data deletion) you must be able to prove beyond any reasonable doubt that you are the person to whom these data relate.
